About SRL
Empowering Syria through rugby league
Pride. Unity. Resilience. Excellence. Four words that have to mean something on a Tuesday night at training, not just on a website.
Our mission
To build a rugby league programme that gives Syrians a place to belong, a pathway to compete, and a national side worth being proud of.
Our values
-
Pride
In the jersey and where we are from
Our players carry a country on their chest. That comes with a standard of behaviour on the field and off it.
-
Unity
One club, eight squads
Juniors and seniors, men and women, train under the same crest and turn up for each other's games.
-
Resilience
Built by people who started again
Many of our families rebuilt their lives from scratch. The club is run with the same stubbornness.
-
Excellence
International standards, held to
Preparation, coaching and conduct at the level the jersey deserves, whatever the result.
