About SRL
Our story
It started with players who wanted Syria represented properly.
The beginning
Built from nothing, on purpose
There was no club to join, so a group of players in South West Sydney built one, finding a ground, finding coaches, and finding the players who had grown up in the game without ever having a Syrian side to play for.
The full account of those first seasons is being written with the people who were there, and will be published here once the club has signed it off.
Today
Eight squads and a home ground
The club now fields eight squads across juniors and seniors, men and women, with Dwyer Oval in Warwick Farm as its home.
The ambition has not changed since the first session: somewhere for Syrians to belong, and a national side that competes on merit.
